The beginning of great things came in 2001 with the birth of Anadivine: Sean Paul Pillsworth: vocals and bass, Mike Saracino: vocals and guitar, Bill Manley: guitars and vocals and Justin Meyer: drums and percussion. The four members, united by their common love for the craft of songwriting, formed an immediate bond. From their first practice until now, the band’s vision has never changed.

Shortly after forming,
Anadivine began cutting their teeth in Kingston, N.Y. (located in the Orange County area, 40 minutes outside of Manhattan), They breathed new life into a scene that had already given the world many a great band (Autopilot Off, Coheed and Cambria, and Matchbook Romance all share a hometown with the Anadivine guys).

In the short time that the band has been working the scene, the four-piece outfit has become known for their dark, driving rock and roll and lyrics that sincerely represent their anger. Their songs unabashedly tread some touchy lyrical ground, such as alcohol and drug use. But the band also finds a way to write compelling songs that deal with everyday topics. Upon a foundation of exuberant, driving guitar riffs, their songs flow brilliantly into choruses that find a way to stick in your head long after listening. Anadivine has also already shared the stage with the likes of Midtown, Dashboard Confessional and Thursday.

With their trademark sound and big bill shows, Anadivine managed to generate serious label interest less than two years after their formation. This interest was evidenced when SideCho Records, a Southern California independent, agreed to put out their debut EP. This self-titled EP will be in stores everywhere on October 21, 2003. After that, the group will move on to record for The Militia Group, another independent label out of Anaheim, CA.

Anadivine hangs their hat on the sincerity and conviction of their music. They hope to instill their own ideals taken from personal experiences into their songs. Anadivine’s goal is to spread their opinions and ideas to the rest of the world, accomplishing the ambitious task they set before themselves when they named their band after a former school teacher.
